VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, a secure tunnel between two or more devices. Connecting to a VPN gives you an encrypted connection to the Internet. This allows you to stay private, stay secure, and access the online content you want – no matter where you are.
A VPN is a multi-purpose digital survival tool. You can use your VPN to: Hide your real IP address and surf the web with absolute privacy Protect your confidential information (e.g. e-banking credentials, social media passwords) through VPN encryption Unblock and access your favorite websites and social media platforms Stream and download anything securely, anonymously, and with no limits Get discounts when you shop online And much more..
You need DefenceVPN if:
A) You’re concerned about your privacy.
If you don’t want websites, your ISP, or hackers snooping on your activities, then a VPN provides the protection you need. DefenceVPN encrypts your data while it’s in transit, making it unreadable for third parties. DefenceVPN also hides your IP address and location by giving you an anonymous IP. At DefenceVPN, your security is the top priority. DefenceVPN does not log your browsing activity.
B) You need to access blocked or censored content.
If you live in a place where some sites or services are blocked or censored, then you can connect to DefenceVPN’s servers in any of 94 countries and surf the web freely.
Will a VPN slow my internet connection?
With any VPN, it can, but the difference is often unnoticeable. Furthermore, if your ISP is throttling certain types of traffic, using a VPN could actually boost your speed. DefenceVPN runs a premium high-speed network using bandwidth from tier-1 providers.
DefenceVPN does not directly offer a free trial, but you can sign up and if you aren't satisfied in 7 days we will refund you.
View our refund policy here. To get a refund, please open a support ticket. Do not open a dispute.

The kill-switch is designed to prevent your network traffic from flowing outside the encrypted VPN tunnel.
When Kill Switch is enabled, you will only be able to access the Internet when you are connected to the VPN. If you lose your VPN connection, Kill Switch blocks Internet access so that your network traffic does not get exposed to third parties.
Kill Switch is currently not available for iOS.
